INFORMATION DATABASE || EPISODE 7 When it comes to "SeijixNasuti," most SeijixNasuti supporters immediately think Episode 7. It's considered by most fans (mostly supporters of the SeijixNasuti pairing) to be the defining SeijixNasuti "moment." Dubbed "Splitting the Stone" for the English release, the bulk of the episode involves Seiji and Nasuti working together (alone) to "awaken" Shuu from the "Throne of the Gods" at Hokkaido. Episode 7: Enlightenment! Surekill Rai Ko Zan The episode begins with Seiji and Nasuti driving to Mount Taisetsu-san. Ryo, Jun, and Byakuen have been left behind at Naruto-kaikyou (i.e. Naruto Strait) to awaken Shin (the events which take place in Episode 6). Seiji and Nasuti depart (again, during Episode 6), in Nasuti's "samurai jeep," to revive Shuu at Mount Taisetsu-san. The drive through Hokkaido is long (from Naruto-kaikyou to Mount Taisetsu-san is an estimated two-day trip), and the ride takes it toll—Seiji appears distant, bored, and uninvolved, while Nasuti prattles on about Shuu being protected by a "beautiful garden of gods" (what she seems to interpret as a "good sign" for Seiji and herself). Seiji isn't impressed, and when they reach the base of Mt. Taisetsu-san (actually, Nasuti's jeep gets caught in the mountainous rock), he implores her to return to the others in the episode's most memorable line, "It would be faster to search from scratch than have you around." Seiji jumps to a plateau beyond Nasuti's reach and continues on, alone. Feeling dismissed (and infuriated by Seiji's unwillingness to work as a team), Nasuti presses ahead on foot. She searches for Seiji—who, without Nasuti's research, has no way of finding Shuu—but a snowstorm strikes and the weather takes a turn for the worse. Anubis, the Yami Masho, uses the dark powers of his yoroi to manipulate Mount Taisetsu-san, turning the mountain wildlife (specifically, a pack of feral wolves) into malevolent creature-servants of the Youjakai. Seiji reunites with Nasuti (after rescuing her, of course), but is out-numbered by the wolves and forced to retreat. Overhead, on the mountaintops, Anubis looks on, using his dark powers (once again) to force an avalanche, which Seiji (with Nasuti in tow) deftly avoids. The avalanche carries away the wolves, and Seiji, knowing Nasuti will follow regardless the danger, relents and allows her to tag along. The trek through Mount Taisetsu-san is slow (due to the snowstorm), but soon, Seiji and Nasuti come upon a large and decorated rock/boulder (what Nasuti earlier referred to as "throne of the gods"), where Shuu is believe to be "sleeping" inside.
