I began watching "Ronin Warriors" sometime in the year 2000, after it was brought onto the "Toonami" block, appearing somewhere between the 4:00-6:00 time slot (i.e. it fluctuated back and forth).

Interestingly enough, I watched the first few episodes, but wasn't entirely impressed—at least, not until I saw the episode with "Sage" being released from his prison at the "pinnacles." His display of absolute ass-kicking was admirable, especially since the previous episodes contained nothing but Ryo—one of my least favorite Troopers—getting beaten up by an excessively chatty bad guy.

The episodes that followed had undeniable appeal, what with the continual appearances from "Sage." Episodes 8-12 really piqued my interests, and pretty soon I was an avid watcher. "Sage" was the main reason I tuned in, so I started searching for well-conceived "Sage" shrines on the Internet.

To my disappointment, it seemed that no such "wondersite" existed, so I was left to scrounge around and enjoy what little I could find. Needless to say, many of the group shrines I visited contained incorrect information, so I was left with a false impression of the characters. Myself, being a newbie, could do nothing but believe the babble that was placed on these sites—that is, until I began familiarizing myself with the TRUE version, Yoroiden Samurai Troopers.

Beforehand, I believed the old rumors of the "Ronin Warriors" universe—the ones about "Sage" being an impulsive flirt, and "Rowen" being a child raised under the hand of an abusive father. After learning the truth, I was infuriated by the falsities spread around to unsuspecting victims such as myself. Therefore, I made a vow to create a site with official information and resources that could provide fans a reliable/honest look into the depths of YST.

Using nothing more than bitmap and a few wordpad programs, I worked diligently to put together information, images, multimedia, and anything else imaginable into a neat little collective.

Thus, Evil Eyes was born. It was pretty popular there for a while, what with the comical "Ask Seiji," and the extensive amount of information available solely for the bearer of the Korin Yoroi. No longer was "Sage" used in my vocabulary. Dubbed "lingo" was completely distinguished from existence in my world—a world where only official, correct information was divulged to others.

After roughly two years of Seiji-goodness on the net, I began having difficulties with updating the site; I had lost interest in my profession. My content was sufficient, but my layouts were not. After several failed attempts at making layouts for my beloved Evil Eyes (i.e. the most favored of all my character shrines), I fell into a period of inferiority and slight depression, angered that I was incapable of producing a more "professional" look.

I began trying new techniques to improve my skills in the graphic design department. Unfortunately, I didn't have the programs necessary to create the "professional" designs I'd so romantically envisioned.

And layouts weren't my only problem. Tripod, my favorite free hosting server at the time, was beginning to go overboard with pop-up advertisements appearing on the site. Irritated with the development, I quickly lost interest in updating Evil Eyes.

Needless to say, a long hiatus followed. Although I still practiced with what little I had to work with, I'm ashamed to admit, I almost threw in the towel. My server—the only good one at the time—had betrayed me, and my graphic skills and resources were a joke.

Then, a miracle happened. My wonderful brother bought me the prestigious Paint Shop Pro 7.0 for my laptop. I did flips.

Estatic, I carefully installed the program and began work immediately. After some practice, I quickly took notice that typing HTML was much easier than creating a transparent gif. It was then that I realized graphic design was not entirely for me. Either that, or I would need a lot more practice to wholly understand the full potential of the powerful PSP 7.0 software.

However, the program was well worth the money and effort. (Even if I'm still wet behind the ears, the layouts I'm capable of creating now are far better than the ones created with the bitmap programs sitting on my desktop. I find they have a certain... flow to them.) I was pleased... for the moment.

With my new layout skills in the making, I had no intention of placing my shrines onto a server who was pummeling my visitors with obnoxious advertisements for products that, for the most part, no one was going to buy. That's when I proceeded to equip myself with the ultimate artillery; the infamous "domain name."

Having purchased my new domain, I soon opened The Plain Reality Network, where I began hosting my personal sites. Needless to say, Evil Eyes was the first of my shrines transferred to the server. With the transfer, I gave my beloved Seiji shrine a new look and a new name, detached disposition. Thus, the shrine you see now was born.

Much time has passed since then, but detached disposition remains my favorite of the bunch. Seiji is still a wonderful character, and I'm grateful I can finally see him in his authentic glory, what with the release of the "Ronin Warriors" DVD set. And of all my shrines, it remains the one most updated.
