* Volume 14, Chapters 129-131
Important: Rin's introductory chapter, where she meets Sesshoumaru for the first time; learn of Rin's past; Rin is killed by wolves, though is revived later by Sesshoumaru's Tenseiga.

* Volume 16, Chapters 157-158
Important: It becomes apparent that Rin is still a member of Sesshoumaru's group (i.e. is still traveling with him); Rin is capable of handling Sesshoumaru's mount.

* Volume 17, Chapter 163
Important: While Sesshoumaru and Jaken take care of important business, Rin is apparently left behind until they return; it becomes obvious that Rin follows Sesshoumaru's exact orders without question and adores him fervently; Rin sees Kagura for the first time.

Important: The group travels to a 2000 year-old tree youkai, where the secret of Inuyasha's transformation is revealed; Rin uses the mount as a means of both transportation and sleep.

Important: Rin meets Kagura for the second time when she approaches Sesshoumaru in hopes that he will free her from Naraku's grasp in exchange for the Shikon shards; Rin makes the comment that Sesshoumaru is "plenty strong."

Important: Rin is abducted by Kagura to lure Sesshoumaru to Naraku's castle; Rin meets Kohaku for the first time after being placed under his supervision at a nearby temple; we learn that Rin's family consisted of a mother, father, and brothers (the number is never specified) who were all killed by bandits; Rin and Kohaku form a strange sort of companionship; Rin is returned to Sesshoumaru after Sesshoumaru nearly kills Kohaku (after he attempts to kill Rin under Naraku's control) and Naraku flees from battle.

* Volume 24, Chapter 238
Important: Rin is still traveling on the mount with Sesshoumaru and Jaken; we learn that Sesshoumaru is pissed for being made sport of during Rin's abduction.

* Volume 25, Chapter 240
Important: Left behind with Jaken; Rin fears Sesshoumaru might kill Kohaku at their next confrontation.

* Volume 26, Chapters 252-254
Important: Rin follows Kohaku into a cave; Kohaku protects Rin from various youkai; Rin returns to Jaken and Sesshoumaru; Sesshoumaru asks Rin if Kohaku is inside the youkai barrier.

* Volume 27, Chapters 259-263
Important: Rin is with Sesshoumaru and Jaken when Jakotsu of the Shichinintai appears; Rin falls off a bridge during the fight and is swept away; Rin is later "found" by Suikotsu of the Shichinintai and cared for until Sesshoumaru arrives; Rin realizes that it was Suikotsu who attacked her at the bridge; Rin is taken hostage by Suikotsu and Jokotsu until Sesshoumaru arrives; Suikotsu nearly kills Rin until Kikyo intervenes and stops him with an arrow; Rin thanks Kikyo for saving her life and is returned to Sesshoumaru.

* Volume 28, Chapter 272
Important: Nothing really; panel or so of Sesshoumaru, Rin, and Jaken.

* Volume 30, Chapter 296
Important: Panel or so of Jaken and Rin talking about Sesshoumaru; Rin uses the phrase "sighing chases happiness away" to address Jaken's mopey attitude.

* Volume 31, Chapter 303
Important: Kagura appears, questioning the whearabouts of Sesshoumaru; Rin becomes frightened and hides behind Jaken.

* Volume 32, Chapter 318
Important: Sesshoumaru and company are confronted by Kagura; groups learns of "gateway between this world and the next;" Rin becomes frightened.

* Volume 35, Chapter 343
Important: Kagura confronts Sesshoumaru and party, giving Sesshoumaru a youki crystal and important information concerning Naraku's heart; Rin makes the comment that Kagura "is probably in love with Sesshoumaru-sama" because of her praise and respect for him.

* Volume 36, Chapters 350-351, 353
Important: Sesshoumaru's party stumbles upon the battered body of Kagura floating in the river; Rin attempts to save Kagura and is pulled into the current; Sesshoumaru saves Rin, Jaken, and Kagura from the river; Rin clutches Sesshoumaru's "tail" when they visit Goryoumaru's temple.
